Thank you for your interest in St. Louis Spinning! All of our classes are open to all levels, and if you have any questions, or if for any reason you are unable to register for class, please feel free to call us at 314-645-SPIN.
We have a First Time Special available to new students at St. Louis Spinning. Your first class is $10 and your second class is free! Please see staff at St. Louis Spinning as this offer can only be sold at the studio. Please try and arrive 15 minutes early your first time to fill out waivers.
What is spinning?
Spinning is a unique indoor stationary cycling program created in the 1980s by world-class cyclist Jonathan Goldberg, a.k.a. "Johnny G". The Spinning indoor cycling program brings the elements of athletic training to people of all ages and fitness levels. Participants use specially designed Johnny G. Spinner indoor cycling stationary bikes. Our St. Louis Spinning program combines coaching, environment, music and a psychological edge to bring you a dynamic workout for your body and mind. The energy from Spinning is unparalleled and will carry you to your next fitness level.
Johnny designed the indoor cycling program with the understanding that participants have different exercise needs and goals. He incorporated the use of personal heart rate monitors to deliver the most effective and intelligent training regimen to these diverse riders. The Spinning program utilizes 5 different movements all practiced in actual cycling and centers around a series of training sessions called Energy ZonesTM, which include Endurance, Strength, Interval, Race Day and Recovery.
St. Louis Spinning Instructors undergo a rigorous and comprehensive training regimen that focuses on both athletic and motivational coaching techniques. They also receive extensive safety training, as well as continuing education on the latest developments in the Spinning program.
